I'm inspired! (1)

I haven't wrote on my blog for a long time. It is because I am busy, and of course lazy!

Anyway! what I am currently doing is a project which is kind of dealing with the idea of Zen.

The initial idea is generated from my pregnant project, which is a documentary of friends of mine who is pregnant. In this project, I document her growing belly month by month, and I imagine the final presentation (the word may be too academic, perhaps call it a gift for my friends!) will appear in a pentaptych image with an easel. The estimated day of birth is at the end of September, and the last photo shoot is on 5th Sept (great timing). Anyhow, let back to the Zen project.

The first thought the pregnancy means lives, and always questioning where we're from and where is our destination. The only principle in Zen theory is 'experience'. According to the legend, the Buddha didn't give a word the the disciples. One day a disciple perceived the wordless sermon, then Zen was created. In my project, I am trying to utilize photograph to testify and investigate this meaning's transition from one's mind to others. It might a bit sound mysterious, but I believe it is possible.
