There are lightning images captured by a wide range of photographers. Most of the images are captured in a natural condition. But
Hiroshi Sugimoto spent four years to study and research, and "makes" lightnings with the lightning bolts, in order to produce a prefect large-scale photographs -
Lightning Field. What fascinates me in this series is not about the abstract forms of the lightnings, but the making method. In fact, Hiroshi generated his lightning photographs without a camera, rather like a photogram.
