I stumbled upon two artist in the
Qutre Gallery, who are
Mark Ryden and
Kozynden, both of their works are very cartoony.

63 The Tree of Life © Mark Ryden |
Mark Ryden illustrations always portray the gothic theme with a feeling of strangeness. Unlike the traditional gothic imagery, Ryden's gothic imageries lie between surrealism and child fairy tale.

Nakano in Spring (中野の春) © Kozyndan |
Kozyndan uses the same cartoony form but totally different style from Ryden. In the Panoramics series, they (yes, Kozyndan is a group of two artists) use an irony but realistic approach to reveal the odd street view in a nostalgic way. I also appreciate they can paint a 360˚ panoramic painting with precision. Check out their
