I'm sure I've seen these photos before in around 2002-2003. I still remember it was my colleague sent it to my email account. At that time, I didn't really think about the content of the photographs, just thought that the photos are so cool and interesting.
Today, after finishing my Idle project, I've a look at these photographs, they have so much deeper meanings than I thought.
I tried to track down the name of the photographer, but wasn't success. I asked my Japanese friend and searched zillion time on the Internet, but still couldn't find it. Perhaps the photographer needs to be anonymous because if this kind of photo published with his/her name, the photographer could get revenge from them. And Indeed, this is very controversial topic to photograph. These images are challenging the fine-line between "public" and "private". What would people have carsex in the public? For emergent needs? No money to rent hotel? Or it is inconvenient to have sex at home because you don't want your wife and children know you have an affair?
Anyhow, this series of photographs inspires me alot. I can give some after thought to my Idle project.
