Semi-Unconscious: A documentary of commuters and their journeys

This is the work that I produced before studying in NZ. I also wish I can have an exhibition in some galleries and still looking for opportunity...

I was curious about why do Hong Kongers always sleep not at their homes but in the public transports during their journeys. I spent two years (2004-06) documenting different people or commuters, sleeping in a variety of transports such as ferries, buses, mini buses, tram and MTR (Mass Transit Railway), wanted to investigate this sleeping behavior and its reasons. Are they experiencing too much stress from work or study, taking advantage of the travelling times to compensate for the sacrificed sleeping hours? Or are they preparing themselves in the continuation of another night of fever?
