I'm sure the Batman projection does not exist in the sky of Gotham City, because there is not such city and the story is fictional. I'm sure the Ai Weiwei projection could not exist in the sky of China, because of the heavy censorship. However, It could definitely exist in the sky of Hong Kong.

Cpak Ming is an intelligent local artist who projected the wanted image of Ai Weiwei around Hong Kong. If the projections are only on the ordinary surfaces, the Chinese authorities would not listen to the public voice. However, Ming did it in a smart way, which was projecting the image on the fence of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Forces Hong Kong Building. This provocative expression really pissed the Chines authority off. The garrison's pass release stated:

"... anybody has not solicited the army to agree, do not carry on the doodle or the projection to the military compound fence, otherwise is violates Hong Kong law the criminal offense behavior."

Cool aye?!

Moreover, the media and this methodology are well used too. He made his own projector just about HKD$500 (Approx. USD64). First of all, He bought a photo enlarger from a Chinese "ebay" called Taobao, and transformed the enlarger that can be attached on the a strobe flash. Then printed the wanted image of Ai Weiwei on a OHP paper just like a slide and had it mounted in between the enlarger and flash. Finally, go wherever you want and shoot. The flash quickly appear and disappear. Using The characteristic of impermanence to echo the case of Ai Weiwei is best suited on its subject matter. That is why I said he is an intelligent artist.
