"Creativity is often enhanced when given some parameters and restrictions. Pixar's artists first embrace the limitless possibilities of their imagined world and then begin to refine the internal order and laws of their little universe through drawings and paintings. through these explorations, a unique but believable world order is creative."
This quote's from the current exhibition, " Pixar 25 Years of Animation", in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. In truth, I totally agree with this quote, but this chemistry reaction must base on the situation without the beneficial conflicts and office politics. If the human resource in a creative company is complex, extreme hierarchical and full of bad completion, then the parameters and restrictions wouldn't be the best friends with creativity.
Back to the show. Last time I went to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum is 5 years ago. Still remember the best photography exhibition named as Cameras Inside-out. Today, I went to the "Pixar 25 years of Animation", which is an exhibition that I really recommend. Once you get in to there, you will see lots of remarkable hand drafts and story reel, which are mostly original copies. Moreover, the theory side of animation, the notion of the company and the production processes are well illustrated too. It's been a job.
