We sort of love the word of Average, no matter it's the average grade in our university transcript, the average pace in your jogging training or the average performance of your favorite company in the NASDAQ market It seems like Average is the only true and right result for us as a reference to plan and pursue the next future steps. The question is, can Average transcend its limitation of numbers? David Trood who tries to push this limitation beyond the numbers with his unique vision, collecting a large amount of portrait photographs, layering each image with only 1% opacity on top of the other. A pile of pictures, as a result, become an Average face of humanity. By doing this, David tends to paraphrase the word of "face" to a quantifier, as well as attempting to discovery an average face not only in ethnical groups, but also in difference sexualities.
