The Aesthetics of The City - Lori Nix

We always say camera does lie and our eyes are deceived by the believable images. Also there are ton of debates about the presentation and representation. When you are looking at these photographs taken by Lori Nix, you definitely will have a sense of ambiguity, wondering are these pictures real...? Well, this set of photographs doesn't only blur uses of presentation (reality and delusion), it also submerges our focuses on the details by its duo-representations (abandoned memory and detached society). Her approach is very similar to Jonathan Andrew's WW2 Bunkers and Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre's work - locating the "forgotten", but in fact the intricate scenes in her photographs were made by her meticulosity. Cool!!
