Precious Film Cassettes

The last article in my blog was saying the lamp I made yesterday is very meaningful to me. It's not only because the material I used is fading out in the digital era, but also there are some film cassettes collected when I was working in the photojournalism industry.

NPH is a type of film produced by Fuji specific for photojournalist. You can use it totake photographs with maximum EV +/- 3 steps without push processing.

It's Fuji Film again. But Provia use E-6 developer, which means it is a slide film. This is also a very powerful film commonly used magazine. It also has a wide dynamic exposure range, which is EV +/- 3. It  has a perfect grain control when it's being uprated (another word for push processing)

This unique film is definitely a legend. There was no place to process it in HK, because it used K-14 developer to process the film. I obtained this roll of film form my friend Joe Kei, and he mentioned that it can only be processed in Aussie. Lots of well-known photographers used it to capture the moment such as  Steve McCurry. However, Kodak announced Kodakchrome was discontinued in 2011.
