It's quite sad to hear that one of the photography-based gallery in Hong Kong is going to be shut down.
The Upper Station Gallery has operated for two years, and it will close its business on the 1st March 2012, due to the increased rent and inflationary economy.
In its last exhibition opening, not much people to go. None of them I have met. The atmosphere is cold and the artworks are cold too. As if the artworks ain't willing to communicate with the audiences. Perhaps it's because the theme of the exhibition wasn't setup clearly.
Anyhow, that's the reality of photography art market in Hong Kong. Sign.
