Cameras have become wonderfully mindless to use...Just frame a shot, and whatever you see is yours forever (Quoted from fastcodesign.com). I can't agree more with Mark Wilson's wording. It's indeed mindless to use your smartphone to take tons of gorgeous photographs.
But before this digital era came, the act of hand framing was very popular too. During the time there was no digital viewfinder for you the frame. Hand framing became a must method to composite a picture. How about we bring this act of compositing back to live with nowadays technology? It must be interesting.
Ubi-Camera, by researchers at Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences is the crystal of technology and cliché act. It's hybridising a camera with an IR sensor which measure the distance from the user's face at all times. As a result the further your arms push from your body, the closer image you will get. What an innovative camera.
