Book From the Ground - Xu Bing @ Eslite HK

I just went to a new bookstore called Eslite, the biggest bookstore in Hong Kong. Ton of books were appealing me to bring them back to my home, so tempting. But my radical mind stopped me to do it since my rental apartment is running out of space. I thought I was gonna leave the mega bookstore without a thing, yet I brought a concept from the gallery in the bookstore. Languages are symbols. Be specify, if a language can be written then the language itself must be formed by symbols. Lets go to our contemporary txt messages. If emojis exist in our digital world and can be printed out, then it should be a type of language.

I tried to read the context of the Xu Bing's emoji symbols and amazed that I can understand what the language is talking about. He cleverly blends paragraphs with subtle emoji symbols by using a book writing syntax with punctuations, contextualising a story for viewers' ease of deciphering.
It's indeed a post-post-modern pictography.
