X-ray photographers: Nick Veasey & Wim Delvoye

I've been thinking for what would an image look like if it could show its inner side. When I decided to study in New Zealand, I was requested to do some body check which included TB X-ray. I am always amazed when I look at my lung on a X-ray film. It's not only interesting, but also surreal. If I had X-ray equipment (and of course rich!!), I think I would take alot of radiographs of everything.

Nick Veasey is a British X-ray photographer, in fact he is an artistic radiographer, who makes large scale X-ray photographs of large objects (airplane) not only for commercial, but also for his personal interest.

To avoid his models get too much radiation, he some time uses dead people as his subjects. In his TED video, he explained how he produce the artistic radiographs

Wim Delvoye is a Belgian, who is classified as a neo-conceptual artist. He is famous for his controversial tattoo-pig piece and erotic X-ray photographs.

Both artists do make very interesting works. For me, Wim Delvoye's photographs are more honest than Neck's. However, Neck Veasey's radiographs are technically more difficult to produce.
